WLAN Controller support 10/100BASE-T on Distribution ports?

Hi

I'm new on this stuff of Wireless LAN Controllers, actually we are trying to deploy a 4404 controller but we found it has four 1000BASE-T slots, we bought a SFP 10/100/1000BASE-T RJ-45 and we installed in the slot, but it did not work for a 10/100 switch. Any idea?

The 4400 controller does not support 10/100. They are ONLY 1000M. They will not throttle down to Fast Ethernet.
