WLC 2504 - No Primary, No Backup image. Please help.

Hello I am a complete Cisco novice I apologize ahead of time for my ignorance.

We received a WLC 2504 and a 2702i as a demo unit to see if it was appropriate for one of our projects and tried to get the AP (Lightweight CAP type) to join the controller.

1.  Configured WLC with various basic settings via CLI

2.  Entered the AP's CLI and placed it on the same network as the WLC and the AP found the WLC, WLC sent a bunch of configuration etc. to AP (including updating date and time)

3.  From console messages I see AP try to join WLC but ultimately WLC refuses with an issue being "Invalid License in Configuration Request"

4.  WLC shows it has 25 licenses with 0 used.

5.  Tried to find a reason why, but ultimately could not, saw others with similar issue sometimes had AP firmware vs. WLC firmware version issues.

I provided this information to someone else and left them with trying to setup the connection.  Next thing I know, the person has cleared both the Primary and backup images to try and do the upgrade (reading up after this problem has occurred I see that you can upgrade WLC firmware via the GUI or CLI without having to erase anything.

Now, this controller can boot up to the bootloader (see output below) but can get no further.  Reading other posts I see that what I need is a RTOS and perhaps an FP file, but this seems only available via TAC.  Problem is that this is a demo unit and I have no account etc. yet.  I understand that deleting the flash memory is an extremely stupid thing to do, but that is done already.  I'm just trying to get what seems like a perfectly good unit back up and running so I can return a functioning unit as opposed to being forced to buy it because it is not in the original state.

Any help anyone can provide is much appreciated.  Thank you.

Contact Cisco TAC and get the WLC RMA-ed.

I tried but could not.

The unit is a demo unit and has no contract as far as I know.

I attempted to contact TAC but was told need Service Contract etc.

Told them I don't have, was willing to purchase.

Was told I must contact the correct original vendor to purchase a contract.

Just want to get to the RTOS file, load it via option 6 and be done.

Any luck getting to a solution?

Another solution could be to throw up a VM with a 9800-CL with 17.9.5 or 17.12.3 code which supports 2702i.
