still a bit confusing about how the HA works?
Ahhhh ... I know what this is.
You cannot console into the secondary controller.

1. What is the firmware of the controller?
2. If you go to Management > Telnet-SSH what are the options presented for Allow New Telnet Sessions and Allow New SSH sessions?

Hi Leo
1) 8.0.133.0
2 Allow New Telnet sessions = NO
Allow New SSH sessions= YES.
Thanks

Silly me.
I forgot you're having trouble with Serial.
Management > Serial Port
Kindly check the settings here are the same with the settings to your computer.

yes, the settings are the same with my laptop.
I do get the prompt but cannot login

I do get the prompt but cannot login
Cannot login because the username/password is incorrect or cannot login because the login attempt is not displayed?
5508 has two ways to login using the serial port: Legacy RJ45 or mini-USB. Which of the two were used?

the login attempt is not displayed.
ie I get the prompt user: and password and after typing them in - it display the
prompt user again.
With my user/password I can get it by the Web interface.
I used the Rj45

Can you try using the mini-USB?

I already tried the mini-USB and sadly same result.
just tried reboot the second WLC and disconnected both the HA and the connection to the Cores and it worked.
still a bit confusing about how the HA works?

We also have a WLC 5508 in the DMZ and we cannot login by the Web or Console.
Would power-recycle it help ?
Recently we commission Prime and the consultant was hacking around to get it to work - not sure if this Prime is causing all the trouble here ?
Thanks

is the DMZ controller in an HA SSO configuration? If so, then the same rules apply: Web access and console access can only be achieved on the PRIMARY controller. I believe SSH access is allowed into the secondary controller.

No, it is stand-alone !
