Correct, the lowest software level supported by the AP3702i is 7.6.100, but you are recommended to go to the highest (Cisco recommended) level as it deals with many issues that have come about with the newer wireless devices.
Hope that helps?
Thanks

Go straight to 8.0.140.0 instead.
If 3500 is the oldest AP model in the network, then I'd recommend you go straight to 8.2.141.0 or 8.2.151.0 due to stability issues.

Cisco recommend
8.2.151.0 15.3(3)JC6
8.2.141.0 15.3(3)JC5
Lightweight APs: 1040, 1140, 1260, 1600, 1700, 1810 OEAP, 1810W, 1830, 1850, 2600, 2700,
2800, 3500e, 3500i, 3500p, 3600e, 3600i, 3600p, 3702e, 3702i, 3702p, 3800, 600 OEAP, 700,
700W, AP802, AP803, ASA5506W-AP702
Outdoor and Industrial APs: 1532E, 1532I, 1552E, 1552H, 1552I, 1552C, 1552EU, 1552CU,
1552S, 1570, and IW3700
But my AP firmware Versions are AP 3502i ios version 15.2(2)
AP3702i UXK9 ios version is 15.3(3)JA1$
Any issue with AP ios version ?
