WLC 5520 - Monitor Radius server availability with SNMP

Hello all,

I'm looking for the OID on our WLC 5520 to monitor using SNMP the status of the radius server availability from the perspective of the WLC.

We have configured the WLC that when it looses connectivity to the radius server it will send out a trap to our monitoring server. This trap is generated from the OID: 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.598.0.5 CISCO-LWAPP-AAA-MIB:ciscoLwappAAARadiusReqTimedOut

I would prefer to use SNMP polling for tracking the state but I cannot find what OID to poll.

I had assumed it would be one of the OIDs in the MIB CISCO-LWAPP-AAA-MIB:ciscoLwappAAAMIB but having done a MIB walk I do not see any responding value that can be used to track the state of the Radius server by SNMP polling.

Is anyone familiar with this who might know the OID or even if it's possible to do via SNMP polling instead of traps? any information would be greatly appreciated.

Regards

Ciarán

From the AIRESPACE-WIRELESS-MIB snmpwalk this variable :  bsnRadiusAuthServerStatus  (it will return a suffix number correlating your actual radius servers (and the resulting status).
