Hello all,
we have purchased new 9100 series APs and we are planning to use them with the existing controller 5520. As I know that these catalyst APs are supported with 5520 on a specific version.
so my question is
if I have a sufficient AP license on the existing controller, do I need to purchase DNA or not, and why?
I mean the new APs 9100 series will use RTU based license on the controller or not?

No you don't from what I understand and have tested. The licensing on the 5520 doesn't change, there is no license you import. DNA license is if you have DNAc and need specific features. I do believe the on the 91x0 access points, the DNA license come with it and you can't opt-out.

Thanks Scott,
so as i understood, no need to purchase any license for ap to join the controller.
DNA License is just for a specific extra feature to add.
Am i Right?
