WLC - AP and End Devices in different Subnet

Hello,

I have a WLC and an Access Point directly attached to it.

The WLC has MGT IP: 10.50.0.12

The AP gets the IP: 10.50.0.119 (I made a DHCP Scope from 10.50.0.100-200)

What do i need to do, that the end devices, which connect to the Accesspoint, get a different IP-Address e.g. 10.200.0.100

The AP and WLC need to be in the same Subnet, only the WLAN-Users (end Devices) should be in a different Subnet.

Thanks for your help..

Hello,

there are some steps that you want do to get this.

1. Create a SVI on your L3 according your network necessity.
2. Create a DHCP scope to this network.
3. Allow this new vlan on your controller.
4. Create a Interface on your WLC that appoint to your VLAN.
5. Create a SSID and map interface created previously.
6. Test your connection.

This is so simple steps, but is necessary some other resources according each environment, for exemple: vlans, trunks, firewall rules, nats.. and others.

Hope that it helped you.
