WLC C9800-L-C running 17.9.4 can print but cannot scan

I have both EWC9115AXI-K & C9800-L-C-K9 setup at the same place.
The AP C9115AX attached to C9800-L is capwap image type, while EWC and any AP C9115 AX attached are EWC image type.

I have a problem with the Printer Fuji Xerox Apeosport C3570 model.
Through EWC9115 I can print and scan.

However through C9800-L I can print but cannot scan.
The configuration for both controllers are almost the same.

  - Do not use EWC and 9800 controller(s) at the same time together and or use C9800-L with APs on capwap image type only ,

Hi Marce, thanks for the advice.

I have tried the method, it won't work.

Some more, I am setting a different WLAN for both controllers.

Is there any configuration that I miss?

         - That's still a no go , please use one controller only

I thought EWC controllers were supposed to 'fail' if they detected a 'real' controller on the local network. So all my ewc capable switches are not useable because they all hear the 3 controller stacks in the corporate cloud.

Hi Marce,

I can say EWC configuration is much better and not complicated. Just set a simple configuration, everything is done. No problem to the users to access internet, server, printer, scanner etc.

But why the C9800-L having a problem? I cannot scan, even the configuration is similar to EWC?

Please tell me, in specific, which configuration should I look for printer and scanner.

The reason why both controllers are up at the same time is I plan to make the EWC as a back up for the main C9800.

        - Abandon this setup, for the 9800 look into the standard HA-SSO (supported) configurations,

Hi Marce,

I have found a solution. A very simple action. I just need to enable the Wireless Broadcast.

You proposal above is not suitable for small company like me. My AP is less than 20 units. I don't have any requirement to have 2 C9800L controllers.

Just enough with 1 C9800L & 1 EWC. at this moment.

 - Keep reminding that this is not a supported environment, because the EWC can not be in the same capwap broadcast domain as a big controller,
