Hello i have strange roaming conditions with a NEC light Pc (no hard drive, flash card and windows XP embedded) and an integrated wireles card RALINK 2561 chipset.
I have put latests drivers for XP on xp embbeded NEC pc.
WLC are 2 WiSM in version 3.2.116
Access points are 1131LAP
My case is : a corridor with 2 LAP
i bootup the NEC-PC and associate to the right AP (nearest AP)
I walk along the corridor, and when i am under the second AP, i am still attached to the first AP, so i keep on walking and i stay associated to the first one with some lost ping and very bad times (1 to 2.5 seconds for exemple)
In order to roam i have to walk and go outside the corridor where i don't see anymore the first AP in order to roam to the second AP.
That's quite strange becaus with a "normal Windows XP" i roam 2 or 3 meters before i walk under the second AP.
I will try to upgrade controller but i think the trouble is more in drivers or windows XP embedded;
I use Windows zero config in both cases (xpe or xp pro).
Does anybody have seen this with this card ? with windows XP Embedded ?
