Hi all,
I'm having a big problem with a WLC. There were 42 licenses. I uploaded 8 new ones but, after restarting the wlc, the count is still 42.
Via CLI i did the command "show license in-use" and no result came out, nor the 42 licenses!
If i go via web on the licenses, on the field "base" i see type "permanent", count "NA", Status "Active, Not in use".
I have to solve this issue before monday. Can someone help me?
Did it happen to somebody too?
Thank you in advance!

Hi mate,
can you open the .lic file on notepad and see if it has the count.
when you installed the license, did you accept the eula before reboot?
cheers,
Raffy

Hi mate,
What model of WLC do you have?
Did you specifically get an adder license?
Cause i think those only come from 25, 50, 100 etc..
Cheers,
Raffy

Hi Raffy,
I forgot the model. Its a AIR-CT2504-K9 and yes, those are adder licenses.
Any suggestions?
thanks

I'm kinda sure I accepted EULA.
I opened the lic file but i didnt see anything about the number of licenses that lic file would provide to that wlc, just the "base ap-count" type, the model and the serial number of the WLC.
Should it have been different?
I deleted the licenses I putted in the past, so I cant compare it 😕
Thank you for supporting me

Oh wait, I opened it with notepad++ (before I opened it with "nano" on the tftp server :P) and I see the licenses should become 45 with the first, then 50 with the other file.
Maybe should I put them one by one?
Dunno! I hope this can fix it!! I'll try in 2 hours, and I'll keep you updated!
