WLC performance Profile

Hi,

I'm looking for help in finding a best practice documentation that goes over the performance profile and what the proper settings should be set at for our environment.  Could anyone help?

Hi Leo,

I don't see any reference to the 802.11a/n Cisco APs> Configure  ( Performance Profile ) on the best practice documentation. I'm looking to understand these values and how to best tweak them?

Interference Threshold ( 0 to 100% )

Client Threshold ( 1 to 200 )

Noise Threshold ( 1-127 to 0 dbm )

Coverage SNR threshold (3 to 50 db )

RF Utilization threshold ( 0 to 100%)

Coverage Exception level ( 0 to 100%)

Data Rate threshold ( 1 to 1000 kbps)

Client Min Exception level ( 1 to 200 )

Frank, what is going on with your network?  What is it that motivates you to modify these values?

Personally, I would recommend that the value be left alone.

Hi, same here, did you find an answer? i have a high density environment here and i am not sure about these values..
I set the "Coverage SNR threshold (3 to 50 dB)" to 25... not sure, but i think that AP only allow to connect clientes with 25 or higher... :(

Interference Threshold ( 0 to 100% ) 10

Client Threshold ( 1 to 200 ) 12

Noise Threshold ( 1-127 to 0 dbm ) -70

Coverage SNR threshold (3 to 50 db ) "25"

RF Utilization threshold ( 0 to 100%) 80

Coverage Exception level ( 0 to 100%) 25

Data Rate threshold ( 1 to 1000 kbps) 1000

Client Min Exception level ( 1 to 200 ) 3
