Hi,
We see quite a lot of "Radar signals have been detected". We have enabled uni-II extended, and theres no real pattern to where it happens, very random. Is this a message that appears on an AP that is operating in say channel 52, but hears it off-channel on say channel 108? Or is it a message that says the AP were on channel 108 and its changing channel? Because i cant always find a message that states that the AP has changed channel. Was just wondering if this is cosmetic or do i have to manually set the channels for the affected APs? Because some of them reports of radar signals in many of the DFS-channels. Is the AP not available for clients in the scanning phase? Or do all clients listen to the channel announcement message?

AP's only listen to radar pulses on the channel that particular AP operates on.
Although it can be confusing on the WLC because the messages end up at one place, if you can determine the AP or AP's that are being affected, try and manually set that one on a channel that is not required to be DFS. See if it helps.
Sometimes the location of an AP can be the cause of issues, but is very rare, I wouldn't jump and move the affected ones just because I mentioned it.
When a DFS Channel change happens, no it disconnects the clients connected and chooses another channel and scans for pulses on that one, unless it is not a DFS channel. When it confirms the channel is useable it begins to broadcast and accepts clients.

Thanks, ill try to manually set the channels to 36,40,44 or 48 for the affected aps :)
