Work Group Bridge and Bridge

I have a quick question. I am compareing the work group bridge and the regular bridge. my question is, is there any difference in distance capabilities between the two if I use the same solid dish antenna? Also, can I connect a switch with more than 8 users to the work group bridge?

The Workgroup Bridge and Bridge are two entirely different devices with different functions. The Workgroup Bridge is a client device that MUST associate to an Access Point (or Bridge in Access Point mode) connecting a wired segment to a wireless backbone. The Bridge associates to another Bridge to connect two or more sites. The Workgroup Bridge is not simply a less costly substitute for a Bridge, so attempts at comparing capabilities are a dead discussion.

As for connecting to a switch with more than 8 users, yes, you can physically make the connection, but only the first 8 MAC addresses that the Workgroup Bridge sees will be able to pass traffic across the link. There is no aging timer in the Workgroup Bridge, so if the topology changes, either the MAC address table has to be updated manually, or the Workgroup Bridge rebooted.
