I have an ASR 9006 with a SFP-GE-L connecting to a Cisco 6500. The link shows up on the ASR side but not on the 6500 side. If I move the SFP from the ASR to a different 6500 chassis the connection works so I know the SFP is working. Any ideas on making this link work?

When you say you "moved the link to a different 6500 chassis" did you move the cable AND the SFP module from one 6500 to another?
Maybe the interface is disabled or in error-disabled?

The issue ended up being a negotiation issue. Apparently IOS-XR is set for nonegotiate disabled by default and IOS is enabled by default.
The fix being to put "speed nonegotiate" on the IOS side interfaces and it came up
