Hi all!
Does anyone know, which IOS-XR release will support BGP l2vpn evpn AF over IPv6?
This is seen on IOS-XRv 6.5.1:
RP/0/RP0/CPU0:XR1(config)#router bgp 65000 RP/0/RP0/CPU0:XR1(config-bgp)#neighbor fc::2 RP/0/RP0/CPU0:XR1(config-bgp-nbr)#address-family ? ipv4 IPv4 Address Family ipv6 IPv6 Address Family link-state Link-state Address Family vpnv4 VPNv4 Address Family vpnv6 VPNv6 Address Family RP/0/RP0/CPU0:XR1(config-bgp-nbr)#exit
RP/0/RP0/CPU0:XR1(config-bgp)#neighbor 2.2.2.2
RP/0/RP0/CPU0:XR1(config-bgp-nbr)#address-family ?
ipv4 IPv4 Address Family
ipv6 IPv6 Address Family
l2vpn L2VPN Address Family
link-state Link-state Address Family
vpnv4 VPNv4 Address Family
vpnv6 VPNv6 Address Family
Thanks in advance,
Thomas

Oh, my bad, you mean the BGP session!
Currently not supported. Check the next releases (6.5.2 and 7.x), possibly 7.x would bring this feature.

Thanks, Elvin.
But that still sounds pretty indetermined to me.
I read a Software Roadmap for the 5500, but neither for the XR 7.0.1 release, nor for the planned releases that feature was mentioned.
So let's hope...

Does anyone know if L2VPN/EVPN AFI/SAFI is supported for BGP IPv6 peering in any recent IPOS XR release?

Hi!
Looks like IOS-XR 7.1.2 does support it. But I can't tell at what version they implemented that feature.
