Bras 24.000 pppoe sessions

Friends,

I am purchasing an ASR1002 cisco with two ports of 10Gbps + license for 24,000 pppoe sessions.


It will be used as Bras but alerted me as to its memory so when there is any problem like mass drop of pppoe sessions it can crash and stop responding.


I would like to hear from you. It has 4GB of memory and no possibility to upgrade. I found it odd that it does not support since it has license of 24,000 sessions for this router, it is to support otherwise Cisco would not sell this license to him.

What do you say?

I will put two ASR1001 with 10.000 pppoe sessions each passing traffic of 5Gbps.

Does this machine work perfectly? Would memory be a problem? Does the processor support?


It will run:

1) server pppoe for radius with 10,000 pppoe sessions;
2) mpls
3) ospf v4 and v6
