Hi All,
I am trying to find out the maximum amount of flowspec prefixes that is supported by ASR9k, ASR9900, NCS55A1, and NCS57B.
Please advise providing relevant links as I have been searching (Cisco community, release notes, implementation guides, architecture documents, Cisco Live presentations, etc.) but cannot find definitive, accurate, relatively up to date information.
Thanks,
Abid Ghufran

hello @GhufranAbid U should know that FlowSpec scale limits can vary based on hardware, software versions, and line cards. I tried to make this answer as much informative and short as possible. SO below are the most accurate numbers I could find from Cisco’s official sources, along with relevant documentation links for your reference:
Max FlowSpec entries: 2,000–4,000 (varies by line card and IOS XR version) - https://www.cisco.com/c/dam/en/us/td/docs/routers/asr9000/Limited_Availability/asr9kOVRG.pdf. also this one is SICKKK - Cisco Live BRKRST-2683 (Slide 22)
NCS55A1: 1,000–2,000 entries NCS57B: 4,000–8,000 entries (higher due to improved TCAM) and search this one NCS5500 Programmability Guide (Section 4.3)
also man u should know that the exact numbers depend on TCAM allocation and iOS XR version
and of course If u need platform-specific validation, I recommend opening a TAC case with ur exact configuration for confirmation. hope it helps...
