how ip fragmentation work in ASR9K device

Hi all,

i would like to know, if is it possible, how and who does the fragmentation in asr9k.

To be honest, i need to be sure that an ASR9K send fragmented packet through an interface, where the packet size is 2000 Kb and the MTU of the egress interface is 1546. Is the NP (Typhoon in this case) that does the fragmentation? how can i see if there is an error on fragmentation?

Thanks in advance.

Marco.

hi Marco,

BRKSPG-2904 from Cisco Live Berlin 2016 has a section on fragmentation. You should be able download it from ciscolive portal.

Hi Aleksandar, thanks for your answer but, in the document BRKSPG-2904 there is not a session for Fragmentation.

Thanks for your support.

Marco

hi Marco,

are you sure you took the version from Berlin 2016? I any case, I'm attaching the section that explains the fragmentation.
