Good day!
IOX XR 6.1.4 support new command “clear subscriber manager service-profile”. This command clears all existing services profiles from ASR9K memory. When you apply this command services on active subscriber sessions are deleted and ASR9K doesn’t sent access-request to get new service-profile from billing system. Also there is no any event type like service-stop for the active session when service is deleted by this command. Because there is no event it is impossible to apply any action to active sessions within policy-map type control subscriber.
As result after applying this command we have all active subscriber session without any service and full access to the network!
Because we use pQoS type services we can’t use on subscriber session several service with different priority. And for example use locally configured No_Access services with low priority (merge) which applied to all session by default through policy map type control subscriber.
That is why the behavior of this command is critical in this case.
May be there is another way to clear services. Or any event type to use within policy-map type control subscriber.
Also we don’t consider pQoS service update through the Cisco-AVPair+='subscriber:command=service-update' because all previously used dynamic policy-maps are kept and some time we notice incorrect unexpected changing.
See also attached file “ASR9K pQoS incorrect service-update” for detail regarding AVPair+='subscriber:command=service-update'.

the only way that I can think of is to do a coa service deactivate and service reactivate. there is no simple way to reparse downloaded and cached profiles.

Hi
Is there any way to check number of connections per second for ASR9K?
Thanks
