Hello!
I hope i placed this discussion in the correct community.
I'm currently configuring two asr9001 routers and got a problem when setting up an Etherchannel. I have 2 asr9001 and both have the same configuration, the only difference is the bundle-id. I got this problem in one of the routers while the other works.
This is the bundle config:
interface Bundle-Ether31
logging events link-status
!
interface TenGigE0/0/2/2
bundle id 31 mode active
cdp
ethernet udld
mode normal
!
!
interface TenGigE0/0/2/3
bundle id 31 mode active
cdp
ethernet udld
mode normal
When i activate the bundle i get a lot of information in the log file and i posted a part of it here: It seems like i get these messages over and over.

From time to time its like the linecard disappears and i can't see any interfaces with the command show ipv4 int brief:
Interface IP-Address Status Protocol
Bundle-Ether31 unassigned Down Down
Loopback2000 XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX Up Up
MgmtEth0/RSP0/CPU0/1 unassigned Shutdown Down
I should see the following:
Interface IP-Address Status Protocol
Bundle-Ether31 unassigned Up Up
Loopback2000 XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX Up Up
MgmtEth0/RSP0/CPU0/1 unassigned Shutdown Down
TenGigE0/0/2/0 XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX Up Up
TenGigE0/0/2/1 XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX Up Up
TenGigE0/0/2/2 unassigned Up Up
TenGigE0/0/2/3 unassigned Up Up
Has anyone seen this problem before and if there is anything i can do to fix it. Apart from the bundle configuration i have BGP, ISIS and LDP running.

Hi,
The crash details match to CSCuq89377, please install the SMU for CSCur13869 or CSCus71103 which supercedes CSCur13869. Both are hitless installs.
Thanks,
Sam

Hi micke
Im using Service Pack 2 and i can work with bundles.
I can suggest u to use CSM 2.0, so if in the future you want to upgrade to 6.y.z you can see SMUs and Service Packs available and what fix they have. .....

Hi Diego!
Thanks, will look into that.

The fix is in SP3 and SP4, and is not related to bundles, the issue is in the 9001 platform code.
Whether you use an SP or not varies. This doc is in the process of being updated to mention that SPs and SMUs can coincide, that is to say that 90% of SMUs will work just OS-MBI SMUs that we cannot. That being anything in the minimum boot image, think deep changes in the OS. To summarize, the easiest way to manage the router is to load the latest SP or use CSM to find the optimal SMUs to load.
