Upgrade Process 6.5.3 -> 7.3.2 to minimize downtime

Hi,

i'm trying to evaluate the downtime on upgrade process from 6.5.3 to 7.3.2, for this we need to pass over an intermediate version that i'm using 6.6.3.

The problem is when i upgrade to 6.6.3 i start to install ISO+RPMs (+/-30min) and when wakeup all my PWs are down and just recover when  put the CSCvw57276 (XR and sysadmin) SMUs, and this means that almost 1 hour down just for this intermediate version!

So, i would like to know if we can install ISO+RPMs+SMUs once, in this way probably the downtime could be reduced.

Thanks in advance

Maria

You can install everything at once, so long as the SMUs and RPMs etc are all for the same version of code you can add the base packages and SMUs etc in one CLI.

Alternatively you can create a golden ISO (GISO) of all the RPMs/packages and SMUs and upgrade that way.
