I'm trying to get the ACI Simulator VM 4.2 up and running on VMware. I have the the OVF built and booted and have walked through the setup prompts. Following the instructions I have only changed the value for the OOB management interface. However, upon finishing, I'm not able to connect to the IP I have assigned. I have verified the port group is allowing promiscuous mode and have tried several different ESX hosts and port groups. I can put a test VM on the same port group and it pings immediately. What am I doing wrong?

Hi @jeffbilbro
Not sure if you know about these, but there are a couple of old topics about issues with APIC simulator:

Thank you @Sergiu.Daniluk for the kind reply! I apparently am weak in my search-foo in here. The very first discussion had the solution, which was to enable MAC address changes and forged transmits on the port group. The documentation only says to enable promiscuous ARP. After I enabled the other two settings, pings worked almost immediately. I added that as a comment to that discussion as well.
