294 RAM upgrade

Hey there,

i tried to install more RAM into a 294 with 4GB installed.

I replaced the two 2GB bars with two 4GB bars of same type but system is not starting anymore.

Switching back to 4GB and all is okay.

The system stops at "BIOS post ongoing...".

Upgrading a 694 to 24GB was working without problems.

Any ideas?

Hi,

What i know is wave-294 support 8 GB RAM but only option is 4*2GB and not 2*4GB. check this link

please sare the part code of 4 gb ram you are using.
