Hello:
Right now I am deploying a couple of Nexus 9k, and when I try to enable the fex feature, the system displays the following notice: "FEX config is not supported on Tahoe" Does anyone has seen this notice before? I am aware that Tahoe is the new ASIC family from Cisco, but what is the issue then?
I am trying to add FEX 2228TP
NX-OS version is 7.0(3)I4(5)
Thanks
Ricardo

I have the same issue.
Software: NXOS: version 7.0(3)I4(5)
Hardware: cisco Nexus9000 93180YC-EX chassis
FEX: N2K-C2232TM-E-10G
switch(config)# install feature-set fex
FEX config is not supported on Tahoe
switch(config)#
Did you get this fixed?

Hello Siebe:
I used this version: 7.0(3)I4(2) (nxos.7.0.3.I4.2.bin) and I was able to enable the fex feature.
Hope this can help

I have not tried to use 93180 to support FEX yet. Based on my understanding, the new 9300 switches are not capable to support FEX as the latest release of 7.0(3)I4(2)
Cisco NX-OS Release 7.0(3)I4(2) supports the following FEXes (Fabric extenders) on Cisco Nexus 9332PQ, 9372PX, 9372PX-E, 9396PX, and 9500 Series switches:
■ Cisco Nexus 2224TP
■ Cisco Nexus 2232PP
■ Cisco Nexus 2232TM and 2232TM-E
■ Cisco Nexus 2248PQ
■ Cisco Nexus 2248TP and 2248TP-E
■ Cisco Nexus 2348TQ
■ Cisco Nexus 2348UPQ
■ Cisco Nexus B22Dell
■ Cisco Nexus B22HP
■ Cisco Nexus NB22FTS
■ Cisco Nexus NB22IBM
Note: Cisco Nexus switches other than Cisco Nexus 9332PQ, 9372PX, 9372PX-E, 9396PX, and 9500 Series switches do not support FEXes (Fabric extenders).

Hello Paul-y.
Finally we were able to fix the issue. I've tried with all the I4 path version without success. But with the version 7.0(3)I5(1) the FEX was added to Nexus 9000 successfully. With all the images within the I4 path version the status was flapping between "Image Downloading" and "Connected" but never "Online"
