Not much config (sh run) after WAAS Central Manager upgrade to 4.3.3.

I just upgraded our Central Manager from 4.2.3 to 4.3.3 and noticed when I do a 'sh run' that there are no policie engines defined, map basics, map adapters, etc.  - in fact there isn't much in the display.

This is the extent of the 'sh run':

Central-Manager-backup#sh run

!

! End of WAAS configuration

Central-Manager-backup#

When I bring up the CM GUI, under Configuration/Accerlation, I see the Applications, but there are no Policies or Classifiers defined.

Is this normal behavior?

Hi,

Since your device is configured as a CM (device mode central-manager), it is normal that you don't see any policies nor classifier since your device is not going to perform any acceleration.

All the info about the policies and classification of the devices you manage from this central manager is stored in it's database and not in the config.

This hasn't been changed in 4.3.3 so the config should have roughly been the same before the upgrade.

HTH,

Nicolas

I also found out that out disk drive was corrupt and am getting a replacment RMA drive. There was no database, not directories, nothing. When I would log into the drive there were errors stating that certain files and directories were not there. Also a show disk status, or something like that, showed disk0: as not usable.

Thanks.
