Can anybody tell me how much bandwidth a WAE-674-K9 WAAS appliance can handle? I understand that it can handle a specific number of TCP sessions, but I'm interested in how much data the box can push through it (mbps).
I cannot find anything that states that.
Thanks

Hi Robert,
A WAE-674 with standard amount of RAM has a Target WAN BW of 45 Mbit and an "Optimized LAN throughput" of 150 Mbit/s.
These figures are sizing guidelines and are as such not hard enforced.
Take a look here (It's an old version, but the figures have not changed) :

Or try the WAAS 5.4 Sizing Guidelines here https://communities.cisco.com/docs/DOC-56689 .

Hi John.
Yeah, but you won't find the 674 in there, because it's not supported on 5.4.

Neither of the two links work.
The information you gave me regarding the throughput was what I was looking for.
Thank you both!
Robert
