SPA-8000 (line voltage - unregistered extensions)

Hello:

Is there any way to set up the SPA2102 and SPA122’s to cut off the voltage on the line if the extension is not registered?

The reason for this is that we are using these for a special alarm application. The alarm panel needs to know when to cut off the telephone communication (switch over to GSM) and they determine this based on the voltage on the line.

Because there is voltage on the line and the extension is not registered to the SIP server (if there is internet outage, etc..) the alarm will not switch to GSM unless we go onsite and pull the phone line from the ATA.

Hi Hameed

I just received complaints of this exact issue with a SPA122....did you ever find out if there's to cut off the voltage when the lines are unregistered or no link on WAN?

Thanks,

George
