Inbound SIP call - Caller ID changes

We have a problem with a call flow :

Call arrives from SBC to CTI Route point and our application then routes the call to another CTI route point that is setup to provide audio, this call then gets redirected to a handset when a user is available (our application acts like an ACD).

Some calls arriving from the SBC have two caller ids, the call initially has caller ID 1 and whilst the call is alerting on the handset we get disconnected events for caller id 1 and then connected events for caller id 2. Our application mistakenly thinks the call is ending when caller id 1 disconnects as it is a two party call.

We know the two caller ids come from the SIP header (from and p-asserted-identity), is this normal for jtapi and can we fix CUCM to just report the 1 caller id?
