The Cisco Community team is excited to announce the second phase of our content syndication proof of concept (PoC). In phase one accepted solutions were translated and syndicated from the English community to other language communities to provide global members with additional helpful information.
During our next phase, unanswered discussion posts in non-English language communities will be translated into English and syndicated to the English-speaking community. This will enable these posts to be viewed by a much larger audience, increasing the likelihood of being answered. Each answer in the syndicated discussion thread will be automatically translated and posted to the original language thread.
Now, our global community will be able to participate in more discussions and work together to get more members the answers they need! For this phase of the PoC, discussions will be syndicated only to the English-speaking community. If this proves valuable, we will explore syndicating to all language communities, truly taking the conversations global! Phase TWO is planned to be launched on April 18th for the Russian-speaking, Korean and Portuguese Communities.
What does it mean to the English community?
You will see new syndicated discussions authored by the translator and indicating the source community of the original post, for example, Spanish. All you have to do is to reply in English. The syndication engine will work its magic, your reply will be posted in the original thread and language, and the global conversation begins!
