Director, Community Strategy & Operations

Joann is a Director of Digital Experience with business ownership of Cisco Community. She is a Cisco veteran with 26 years’ experience in Customer Support. Joann oversees the community platform and assets on Cisco.com/support to help customers ‘self-serve’ whenever possible. Joann is customer-focused to ensure the community is responsive to the needs of the community. Joann started with Cisco as a TAC engineer and has seen the evolution of technology from a support perspective. She is an absolute advocate for those engineers who need advice on Cisco products and loves seeing a true community spirit with each interaction.

Director, Community Experience

Michelle is the Director of APJC Cisco Digital Experience and the Global Cisco Community Experience team. With her tenure of 16 years in Cisco and extensive experience in Customer Success and Digital Marketing, she led her team, to not only enable and support Cisco customers through their lifecycle digitally, but also drive more meaningful #digitalexperiences including further elevating the community experiences. Michelle is a people person, she enjoys giving back through mentoring and achieving bigger things through collaboration. Her desire to help others empowers her to better engage with the community members, making Cisco Community and industry communities better, together.

Sr. Manager, Community Strategy and Operations

Denise has been with Cisco for 17 years, most of it working with communities. Denise manages the community operations team and the engineering team that brings you community feature enhancements. Denise loves to get feedback from community members, so bring it on! Prior to joining Cisco, she spent 10+ years as a Sr. Product Manager in the telecommunications industry. Before that, she was a software engineer. She’s a dog lover, an avid flower gardener and proud Texan. Gig‘em Aggies!

Global Digital Marketing Lead, Cisco Community and Cisco Insider User Group

Kelli is the Global Digital Marketing Lead for Cisco Community and Cisco Insider User Group. In her 11 years at Cisco, she has worked as a community moderator, User Group administrator and community manager. Prior to joining Cisco, she led direct mail marketing campaigns for an international internet service provider. Kelli is a firm believer in the power of community and wants to help maximize the experience for all members, so they can successfully help each other.

English Community Manager

Brooke is the English Community Manager. She has been with Cisco over 12 years focusing on digital marketing, events, and managing multiple platforms across Cisco. She has a lot of experience in the community as she has managed the Private Success Track and Partner Lifecycle Advantage communities for the past 3+ years. Brooke also manages the CX Channel of Insider Advocates. Brooke resides in New Jersey with her husband and daughter.

Chinese Community Manager

Amy joined Cisco Beijing team in 2013, at the inception of the Chinese Community availability. She has a desire to help others and is passionate about meeting with so many like-minded people all around the country and the world. They build the community together, meanwhile benefiting from its growth. For her, that's the best part. She worked in Internet industries before Cisco. She has a bachelor's degree in International Business Management from Nankai University, and a master's degree of Natural Science in Psychology, from University of Chinese Academy of Science.

Korean Community Manager

Hyangmo's utmost priority is to provide timely support and great digital experience for her community members. She is a positive thinker who loves meeting people from around the world in the community as well as working with a multinational team. Prior to joining Cisco in 2021, she worked in various functions including user support, community management, marketing & public relations and content creation. Hyangmo adores nature & animals (she is a cat butler!), and loves art & culture so wishes to travel more to learn about other cultures even though she has already traveled to 20 countries!

Japanese Community Manager

Eri joined Cisco in June 2021. Prior to that, she had years of experience working on different projects such as marketing funding offering program for business partners at a global IT company, customer experience solutions in a software company, and was the marketing campaign lead at a microscopy company. However Eri started her career in a rather different industry, i.e. architecture/construction/interior in local government office, held the professional licenses of Japan's Second-class Architect, Construction Managing Engineer, and Interior Planner. She is a dog lover who enjoys fun animal videos in her spare time, particularly those with miniature dachshunds!

Portuguese Community Manager

She is the Portuguese community manager and has been with Cisco for over 2 years, focused on delivering excellent user experience. She is a dedicated and results-oriented marketing specialist with 10+ years of experience crafting high-impact integrated campaigns for brands in various industries. As a people person (and a dog lover), she has great communication skills, proven by her ability to successfully manage events and work with people from diverse backgrounds. She lives in São Paulo, Brazil, but has already lived in the USA and Mexico.

French Community Manager

Curious about digital marketing, committed to customer satisfaction, and with a multicultural upbringing, Jimena has served as a regional marketing manager, e-commerce, and community manager. Over the past 25 years, she has worked in the aviation and IT industries for France, the Netherlands, Turkey, the US, Latin America, and the Caribbean. A traveler by nature, she likes to learn languages and is interested in art, architecture, and gastronomy. She joined Cisco in 2018.

Based in Bangalore (India), Akshay is a self-driven and result oriented Product owner for Cisco Community who plays a critical role in prioritizing features, developing and maintaining product roadmaps for customer success. He has extensive experience of working in start-ups focusing on ideating, defining, developing (implementing) and most importantly Customer Success in multiple domains. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and MBA in IT & MKT, UK. He has been part of Cisco since 2016.

Community Technical Lead

Himanshu joined Cisco 1.5 years ago but has been working in Cisco Community for the past 4 years when he was the Software Engineer in the vendor organization. His role focuses on team management of developers and QA engineers, and Cisco Community’s platform customizations and integrations. Himanshu has a technical bachelor’s degree in Information Technology and has 9 years of technical experience as a full stack developer. He loves to play cricket and travelling.

Ashley Harrington Herring

Community Strategy & Operations Program Manager

As the program manager for Cisco Community, Ashley is passionate about working with a team of people who are dedicated to making your experience better in every aspect here in Cisco Community. Prior to joining Cisco in 2018, Ashley worked in advertising agencies gaining extensive experience in account management, corporate communications/public relations, social media, media relations and much more. Ashley is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she received a B.A. in Journalism and Mass Communication.

Community Experience Program Manager & Social Media Lead

Prior joining Cisco in 2021, Vivien had 16+ years' experience working in various roles including Conference Producer, Quality & Technical Assurance Scientist, and florist business owner. Vivien has a BSc in Applied Chemistry, AgilePM® certification and Behavioral Decision Making microcredential. She is currently based in Sydney, Australia, and enjoys meeting new people, passionate about giving back, continuous learning and improvements! Vivien is fascinated by people’s unique strengths; she is a firm believer of ‘Magic happens when we bring great people together.’

Community & Social Media Manager

Sabah focuses on promotions and internal stakeholder engagement on the Cisco Community. She has been on the Community team for almost a year now, and has supported social media strategy and operations at Cisco for 3+ years. Sabah thrives off of doing work that makes a difference and bringing people together — whether supporting our Community members or getting out in the local community and giving back.
