This is a practice question that I found. So it must be one or the other. What would you pick?

Authorization.
Granting a user or a group a right to do something is the process of Authorization.
The process in which someone wants to log in to a system and has to deliver his credentials would be called authentication.
But in your case, the answer is authorization.
Authorization has another meaning: in a AAA process it's also the part of verifying to what ressources an authorized user can access.

The question is not clear, not sure if you pasted it as you see it on the practice test or not. Is that exactly how you see it on the practice test? maybe there is a config example associated to that question? if so, please share it. Generally speaking AAA does both authentication and authorization, and it also does accounting as the acronym suggests, Authentication, Authorization, and Accounting.

The question asks which one of the three is associated with that function. You have to pick either authentication, authorization or accounting.
