Hello @Marcus Hunold

I assume that there is a better answer to be found - but I ended up changing the software version when i hit this issue. Try a newer/older release and see if you get the same result.

Is this for the on-prem product or are you deploying Catalyst Center over VM?

I am using the newest official Cisco recommended version

Release 2.3.7.7-VA

The error message is complaining that the required memory reservation was not met. Did you reserve the CPU and memory for the VM as stating in the Cisco Catalyst Center ESXi deployment guide?

The reservation should be:

Current Resource reservation:
MEMORY_RESERVED=262144 MB CPU_RESERVED=64000 MHz

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/cloud-systems-management/network-automation-and-management/catalyst-center/catalyst-center-va/esxi/2-3-7/deployment-guide/b_cisco_catalyst_center_237x_on_esxi_deployment_guide.html

@maflesch Thank you for your reply

I don't meet the CPU and Memory ressources.

I am trying to install at a LAB environment.

As I understood for LAB purposes it is possible to install without to meet the Cisco requirements - isn't it?

Even for lab purposes it is a requirement, that's why the installation wizard is checking for it. Otherwise, the product is outside the scope of support and will not work as intended.

There may be a way around the reservation limits by altering the ova itself, but I'm not aware of how to do that.

It's not supportable of course - but you could try to install from the ISO, or try the oldest VA available to you. I am not sure if this break any terms of use, you'll need to check that yourself.
