Cisco DNA Center - Virtual

Hello, 

We have purchased 9000 series switches of 10 qty. We wanted to have monitoring and centralized management dashboard for these switches. Can we install DNA on ESXi for the same. 

I have red the datasheet and it says the starting devices is 1000 which requires 32vcpu, 256 GB memory and 3 TB SSD. Currently we dont have this much devices we just need to monitor/manage 10 devices. Is it mandatory to have this specs for Virtual DNA for this small qty. Is there any other option to montior/manage 9000 series switches except DNA or Meraki.

The specs listed in the datasheet are unfortunately a requirement, both for getting support and it is a technical limitation. Cisco doesn't have any alternative products(ignoring Prime due to becoming obsolete).

If you want something free open source you might want to look at Zabbix or LibreNMS for metrics monitoring and graylog for log collection. I am unfortunately not aware of any good centralized management other than the ones listed for small quantities of devices.
