DNA appliance in the lab needs reset

Cisco1619

I have a DNA appliance in our lab that needs to be reconfigured. The cluster link was put on the wrong interface. I can't figure out how to reconfigure the interfaces and move the cluster link. Does anyone know how to accomplish this without opening a TAC case? Since this is a lab device SmartNet was not purchased for it.

Thanks for any help you can give.

You need to rebuild the Cisco DNA Center appliance from ISO file.  This is a complete rebuild so that you can configure the Networking interfaces correctly.  The only interface that can not be changed without a complete rebuild is the interface marked as the Cluster Link.

Afraid you'll need to re-image it

You can't -at least to my knowledge- re-IP anything in DNAC.

In order to do so, reach out to your account team. One of your friendly neighborhood system engineers should be able to publish the ISO for you to create a bootable (USB)disk.

Been there, done that; had to tell a couple of customers the same...

The latest ISO files are posted on software.cisco.com so you can self download the files if you have a CCO Account.  No need for a Cisco TAC Case anymore (unless it is for Airgap) or a release not listed on software.cisco.com

You can ssh to the Cisco DNA Center or use the CIMC KVM Console (since you are changing the IP address) and run the configuration " maglev-config update " script.

Note: changing IP address(s) and then saving cause loss of connectivity when the Netorking changes are applied. So it would be recommended to use the CIMC KVM Console.

$ ssh maglev@dnac.ip.address -p 2222
$ maglev login
$ sudo maglev-config update

Also to note, You can not make changes to the Network Adapter IP configuration that was checked as the "cluster link"". No changes can be made to this Network Adapter or VIP address. A complete rebuild would be necessary.

In addition, if you make an IP address change to the Enterprise IP or VIP and these were used for connectivity for Assurance and other related configurations, this could possibly impact services on the network devices. This may require reprovisioning on the Network Devices.

If this is in Production, make sure you have an adequate maintenance window in place in event your changes impact services and you have time to remediate the issues.
