DNAC API limits

Hi,

We are using API call /dna/intent/api/v1/business/sda/hostonboarding/user-device to retrieve static port assignments to VLAN.

In DNAC the API call page states that API Throttling is 100 calls per 1 minute, but in reality, we are seeing API Throttling 1000 calls per 100 minutes as reported in API error message.

Does anyone know if this is a known issue or a bug?

Our DNAC version is 2.3.3.7-72328

This is a known limitation. You should "Make a wish" and/or request a change to this to your Cisco contact.

@boris.kudr It's probably a bug.  Please open a TAC case and have them provide you a bug ID so you can make sure it's fixed in an upcoming release.

Could be likely due to a mismatch between the documentation and the actual implementation? The only other thing which comes to mind is some of API's might have dynamic throttling implemented, the actual limit can vary based on factors like the current  load, the number of concurrent requests, and other factors. As someone noted, open a TAC case for this.

Hope this helps.

Thank you for the prompt response, TorbjĆørn.

Do you know why there is a mismatch between rate limit in the API call page and the actual limit reported via API error?
