IP-Grade red plugs

Hey, guys. I am just wondering if these plugs are rated for any environment, or if it's required to get new plugs for outdoor installations? I couldn't find any mention of these plugs in the manual (I might have just overlooked it).

appreciate any help. Thanks!

They are dust/shipping plugs.

If the connection points are not in use, what plugs should be used instead?

If the antenna ports are not used, leave the dust/shipping plugs in their place.

Okay, I just wondered since it doesn't look like it has a high IP rating. I thought that would be important.

Just to clarify, it is an access point with an external antenna. We are planning not to use all of the connections to the antenna. I'm just wondering if the red plugs need to be replaced with something that can withstand a higher IP rating.

1.  What country is this AP going to be deployed?

2.  Which antenna ports will be used, the ones above or below?

In the other forums, there are two contributors who recommend using mastic tape.

1. It's in Norway.

2. We will use the ones above.

Yes, mastic tape is a possible solution. Also, electrical tape has been mentioned on other forums. Someone mentioned an "AIR-ACC15-N-CAP", however, this was in relation to another AP, so it might not be relevant? link to this forumpost: https://community.cisco.com/t5/wireless/purpose-of-air-acc15-n-cap-cover-cap-for-n-connector-for/td-p/3687787

Update: "AIR-ACC-KIT1=" is probably what I'm looking for.

AIR-ACC-KIT1 does not have dust plugs in them.

This kit contains the following items:

  • CAT 5e RJ45 Ethernet port plug and gland assembly (Qty: 5)

  • RJ45 port dust caps (Qty: 2)

  • Ground lug (Qty: 1)

  • DC plug (Qty 1)

I did discover this too. I will probably use the tape solution. Thank you guys for the help!
