Plug and Play Connect with DNA issue

Hello there,

I'im testing the Plug and Play Connect with a C9300L switch to provision it in DNA Center whithout option 43. I think i have applied the prerequisites :

  • I have synchronised our DNAC with our Smart Account by adding DNAC like te Controller Profile in Cisco Software > Central Plug and Play Connect and by setting PnP Connect in DNAC.
  • I have added the device with its SN in Cisco Software > Central Plug and Play Connect
  • I have erased the device with the command "pnpa service reset"

I have configured my PC like a switch and i use my smartphone like the WAN router.

The problem is the switch can't connect to the PnP server (https://devicehelper.cisco.com.:443/pnp/HELLO), so the PnP process fails.

The switch can get an IP address ans the ping to devicehelper.cisco.com works.

Here the logs :

>>> I have configured my PC like a switch and i use my smartphone like the WAN router. <<<
1) I guess you mean your phone is serving as a mobile hotspot ?
    that should be no problem
2) your PC configured like switch ? -> sounds odd!
you mean you activated internet connection sharing ?
    - if yes then it is acting as a router, not a a switch

your PC is connected to the mobile hotspot using wireless ? and the LAN port is connected to the switch ?
if this interpretation of your setup is correct,
- your mobile phone issued DHCP address to your PC's wifi adapter (PC is DHCP client)
- the PC issues the DHCP-address to the switch on the LAN adapter (PC is DHCP server)
first check you've got your PC configuration right,
WIFI is to-internet LAN is to-local network
test this with another PC and see if you've got internet access
if not you may have your internet sharing configuration reversed! or your PC's firewall is blocking traffic.

both mobile and PC perform NAT wich can make troubleshooting more complex.
