Hi!

Recently upgraded from 2.3.5.6 to 2.3.7.6 and when creating the RCA "sudo rca" it creates an *.img file with size approx 16Gb instead of old version *tar.gz and size approx 1.3GB

Any other procedure in 2.3.7 ?

Hi,

Although this is true, it isn't fully correct. The .img file is created during the RCA running operation as it is the runtime file for the RCA gathering. The tar.gz is still compiled like normal, it is just stored in a different location. This is due to the new mexplorer feature that allows the generation and gathering of the RCA via the GUI in 2.3.7.6 on-prem solution. If the .img file is persisting, then that means that the RCA gathering operation timed out. I would suggest running the RCA through the GUI.

From the GUI home screen, click on the ? -> Support Bundle. From there you give the operation a name and select RCASupportBundle. Then once it is completed, you can click upload, provide the SR number and CXD token for your SR and paste that it. Then a command will be generated for you to upload the RCA straight to your case from the CLI. Or, you can download the RCA from the GUI straight to your host box.
