Setting "upgrade-ucode" in DNAC (Catalyst Center)

Hi folks,

Is there a way when when distributing/activating (installing) a IOS upgrade via DNAC (Catalyst Center) that you can get it to apply the "/upgrade-ucode" option (or the equivalent thereof)?  This would be good to do to reduce the downtime/outage window needed when a microcode update is involved.

(Minimal downtime is a plus in hospital networks.)

Thanks.

Hello!

As far as I know the feature is not present anymore in newer versions of switches (C9000 series) so I belive SWIM will not natively support it. You could create a template that will do that for you. If you have newer swtiches take a look at the newer feature xFSU.

 - For the time being the closest thing I could came op with is create a CLI template and then apply it to the switches as needed :

Not sure if it is applicable for your purposes ,

Thanks you both for your responses, both were helpful.

As it's barely a handful of 2960(G) and 3560X switches, I'm not going to bother wresting with templates and I'll just do them manually.  (The dozens of others have already been done - only the most outage time sensitive are left to be done.)

BTW., choosing the "Accepted solution" was almost a coin toss, but one had slightly more helpful/complete info from my perspective.  Thanks again to you both.
