Is there a migration path from UCS Central to Intersight SaaS?

I was told there is feature parity between UCS Central and Intersight but I can not find anything on Cisco regards...

So say I have a UCS Central currently managing three UCS domains with global profiles/policies. What it takes to migrate to Intersight?

from what I have gathered there is no support for the Bseries yet else then the  KVM system and basic telemetry.

No profile, no policy.  Only the C series are supported. so if support for anything B-Series is supposed to be there its not available right now.

There is no support for B Series as not able to monitor UCS B or manage UCS B in Intersight?

Intersight can be used to fully manage the C series but is the C series limited to UCS managed OR standalone OR both?

Thanks

Hi,

Here are the features supported on intersight..

https://www.intersight.com/help/supported_systems#supported_hardware_systems_and_software_versions

Note feature differ between Base and Essentials Version.

Base is free

Essentials has a 60 Day test period, then you can purchase a license per server.

We are working on this migration process.

You can connect each UCS cluster to Intersight and leverage the tools . e.g. FI bandwidth monitoring, HCL and open tac cases..

First thing first, the B-Series Policy Model is currently being engineered into Cisco Intersight. Stay tuned for more information, but there will be a day in the near future when you can Create Policy and "Server Profiles" within Cisco Intersight, and assign those to B-Series Blades and  FI-Managed C Series Servers.

Is there an Update? Because the UCS-B and UCS Central shown, but there is no documentation about the features...

Edvard,

Intersight Managed Mode in Tech Preview is required to push a server profile to a B200.
https://intersight.com/help/features#cisco_intersight_nexus_dashboard_(nd)_base
IMM requires 4th Gen Fabric Interconnects

Currently, service profile templates from Central must be manually created in Intersight (IMM) as a migration path.

Hi jzitcovi,

thanks for your feedback

can you create Policy,Pools,Templates,Profiles from Intersight for a UCSB with the Preview? I didnt find a confirmation about that in the documentations... Because then we have a good usecase for that!

Cheers

Ed
