CML 2.0 in AWS or Azure?

Has anyone been successful in hosting a CML 2.0 VM in Azure or AWS?  We're looking to limit reliance on on-prem resources, and so I have been asked to determine feasibility of hosting CML 2.0 enterprise in Azure rather than our own datacenter.  

I understand that cost will likely be insane -- not looking to have that discussion here, just wanting to clarify if it's possible or not.

i am hearing some people tried Amazon Ec2 - but not seen any documented anywhere.

as per i know Azure is not supported yet.
