CML 2.5.1 Bridge External Connection Issue

I am unable to get the Bridge external connector to work in CML 2.5.1.  This was working  on CML 2.1.  When setting interface to dhcp, it won't pull an ip address.  Setting a static can't ping anything. If I try running as NAT it works.  Running on VM Workstation Player 17.
