Hi,
I’m using CML 2.8.1 Personal and have deployed SD-WAN version 20.15.1. However, I’m encountering an issue where I can’t execute a specific command on vEdge 20.15.1. Despite successfully installing the root certificate, the error persists. I’ve also tried restarting the router, but it hasn’t resolved the problem. Does anyone know the root cause of this issue?
vEdge01# show control loc
Error: application communication failure
vEdge01# show control connections

vEdge01# show control connections-history

vEdge01# show system process all

SD-WAN required good compute requirement, what kind of resource you have for CML 2.8
check resournce minimum and also other node resource requirement.

your orginal port does not cover what resource you have, hence that question of recouce we see normally.
how many vedge device you have ? is this only having issue ? can you try different Image version ?
when i tried 20.7.X works as expected part of CCIE IE preparation labs
check some command level CPU utilisation or resources:
show alarms { cpu-usage | history | memory-usage | disk-usage | disk-speed }

so you confirmed cedge working as expected, then vedge issue, so we need to look what is the issue, if you are not looking that version, if i were you i will try later version or one version and see if that works.

The primary purpose of this post is to investigate and identify the underlying cause of the error I'm encountering. I have eliminated CPU\RAM resource issues as potential causes. Therefore, I’m hoping that someone from Cisco can provide insight into the root cause of this issue, along with a possible solution, particularly for those looking to use vEdge v20.15.1.
As a reference, I have successfully uploaded vEdge versions 20.7.1 and 20.10.1 to CML 2.8.1, and both versions have been functioning without any issues. Also, I was able to onboard these versions to Manager v20.15.1 without facing any problems.

Then Raise TAC case or contact CML support.,

In that case, I ignored it and moved on to the labs. What image is working? Most of the images and concepts are the same, until the latest one has a unique feature you're looking to test. If not, the old image is still suitable for testing features.
In the Live environment, we use the same code as you mentioned, but I am unable to replicate the issue.
