Is it possible to configure Desktop Proximity Client for a special Endpoint (IP Address)

Hello Cisco Proximity Community!

My question/wish is addressed to an cisco representive is as following:

- Is there a way to connect a Proximity Desktop Client (Windows) to a special endpoint, which is known by its IP address?

- What I wish is something like that: e.g. on Windows:

proximity.exe --endpoint=192.168.x.y

What I want is to force the Proximity Client to a special IP, so that there is no need for the ultrasound exchange anymore.

Is this somehow possible? I think, from technical perspective, it would be very easy to implement such feature?

Thanks in advance! martin

Sorry, but the IP address isn't the only thing transmitted via ultrasound. There is also a secret token, like a password, that is constantly changing. For this approach to work you would have to constantly keep entering the new token manually as the implementation is today.

With cloud registered endpoints and WebEx Teams, there is a manual pairing option. This is not a feature planned for Cisco Proximity any time soon.
