We are having a problem with the Proximity app continually locking up on the OS X platform. Specifically, El Capitan. We can typically open the app with no problems and sometimes use it without issue. However, it will randomly freeze and not respond. Hovering over the icon results in the spinning beach ball. The only way to get it to work again is to kill the app in Activity Monitor and relaunch it. The problem will occur multiple times throughout the day. It is not specific to one computer. Many of our users are experiencing the same issue.
I've already opened a Cisco TAC case, but apparently they don't provide support for free apps and directed me here.

You're not alone in having experienced hanging Proximity in the current release. There are, however, massive improvements to the relevant code in the upcoming 2.0 release. This release is planned for a few weeks from now, so there are no plans to release a 1.1.2 with bug fixes before that.
