I'm updating both asa and asdm images from 9.1 to the latest version.
Can I update directly to the latest version or do I need to undergo any interim upgrades.
It will be great if anyone can guide me on this.

Look at the upgrade matrix

read the release notes before you upgrading and do in maintenance window after taking current config backup.
