I've heard that creating a local virtual lab is a great way to practice and work on real-life networking projects. Could you please guide me through the process with real-life steps? Here's what I'm aiming to learn:

    • Hardware Requirements: What are the minimum hardware specifications for a PC or server to run a virtual lab efficiently?
    • Software Options: Which software is recommended for virtualization (e.g., VMware, VirtualBox) and network simulation (e.g., Cisco Packet Tracer, GNS3)?
  2. Installing and Configuring Virtualization Software:

    • Installation Steps: Detailed steps on installing the chosen virtualization software.
    • Configuration Tips: How to configure the virtualization software for optimal performance and network simulation.
  3. Creating Virtual Machines (VMs):

I would suggest if you able to spend 200$ you can buy cisco CML 2.7 that can do all the 90% task you looking todo)

the limitation will be all over all platforms so that no one can change that. hardware requirement mentioned on the page below :

There are other simulators available free your choice (but the images you need to download depends on various places and you need to make it integration.

example google it : PNET LAB / EVE-NG / GNS3..So on
