Cisco Expressway Cluster

Dear All,

I have a question regarding the design of our expressway cluster. Currently, we have a cluster for MRA that consists of two pairs of Expressway-C and Expressway-E. We are considering adding one more pair of Expressway-C and Expressway-E to enhance our data center redundancy.

Can you confirm if this deployment is supported? According to the deployment model, it seems to support up to six nodes.

Yes you can add additional nodes to your Expressway C and E clusters.

Hi @Siva chinap,

If you are adding new expressway nodes at the same data center location where existing nodes are installed or different data center location, make sure you meet the clustering requirements as per below guide:

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/expressway/config_guide/X14-3/cluster_creation_maint/exwy_b_cisco-expressway-cluster-creation-and-maintenance-deployment-guide-x143/exwy_m_clustering-requirements.html

you are right, Expressway cluster can support upto 6 nodes, The main constraint is the latency between the nodes should be within the prescribed limit.
