Cisco Jabber cannot search thrid name

Hi,

The Cisco Jabber on Windows cannot search the thrid display name on contact list.

e.g. Name: "Peter Chan" .... Then can search the "Chan" to show up the user

e.g. Name: "Peter John Chan" ... Then cannot search the "Chan" to show up the user

Any tuning in IM& Presence or Jabber Client to make the searching thrid character name working?

Hi Chi,

Only the First Name and Last Name parameters are available, so adding a third option for 'Middle Name' is not possible natively in Jabber or IM&P.

Any chance that this is going to be resolved soon (see bug id Bug Search Bug CSCua94571 as well). Or even better: can we use parameters to define the "display name" eg. <Firstname><Middlename><Lastname> or <Lastname><Middlename><Firstname>.

this bug is an enhancement bug and currently it is still been worked upon. no ETA for its fix as of now. in case you think it is urgent for your deployment , engage your AM to get this prioritized.
