Cisco Jabber for Windows 11.8.x: maximum resolution for Screen Sharing

Hello,

we have some Cisco Jabber for Windows 11.8.x, and we would like to know what is the maximum resolution for Screen Sharing (at the receiving side), and if and how we can configure it on a user basis (at one of the 2 sides), if possible.

We wonder that because, with the default configurations, the quality at the receiving side is much lower than the original one at the sending side.

TIA and regards.

Hello Jaime,

thanks for your answer.

So, is "1280 x 800" the current maximum resolution for the screen share, as we can see in the following table?

----------

Presentation Video Bit Rates

Cisco Jabber captures at 8 fps and transmits at 2 to 8 fps.

The values in this table do not include audio.

Furthermore, it's not clear on the web page that you have linked if the low quality of the screen share could depend on the region configurations on the CUCM... What do you think about that?

Thanks and regards.

Yes, that's currently the maximum resolution you would get, and yes, this is affected by region/location config, this is a video stream..

Hello Jaime!,

I have a doubt related this issue. We have a 2000 kbps limit of BW for video in the region of CUCM. For that, the maximum resolution for sharing content with Jabber Windows is 1280x800 at 8fps. And the video resolution change from w720p to w288p if the content sharing channel is enabled.

Any way to share at 1280x800 mantaining the video channel at w720p? Can we go up more than the 2000 kbps of BW? We have a Sparkroom55 and when receive presentation from Jabber Windows the content channel not see clearly.

Thanks.
